As part of the YMCA’s vision for the future, we are extending our circle of friends to enhance our impact and long term sustainability.
YMCA Ambassadors are a very distinguished group of individuals who are committed and inspired by the work of the YMCA- people who want to take an active role in helping us make a difference in the lives of young people.
In celebration of the life changing work being done with young people around South Africa, the SA YMCA has launched an initiative in which we are recruiting Ambassadors for the movement.
SA YMCA Ambassadors are a very notable group of individuals who are committed and inspired by the work of the YMCA and want to contribute towards this important work. SA YMCA Ambassadors share our passion to empower young people for life, leadership and service. They are people who want to make a positive contribution towards making a difference in the lives of young people in South African local YMCAs.
We request Ambassadors to do any (or all) of the following:
1. Contribute financially towards our work (either to the movement as a whole or to a specific local YMCA);
2. Help us to recruit others – for example by hosting a “friendraiser”
3. Share the YMCA story with others and leverage support.

You are given marketing materials to help you share the YMCA story with others 4. You are the first to be in the know about news about the Y 5. You are invited to events and functions for Ambassadors. 6. Recognition of your contribution and involvement
